Whether Using a Leveling Kit is Right for You
Leveling kits can play an important role in a vehicles performance and safety. A level kit is not meant to be a supplementary upgrade, but rather a change that can improve your ride's handling. Obviously it is not necessary to have a level kit. You will, however notice a huge difference in driving and over all looks with a leveling kit versus not having one.
Many people know the purpose and benefits of installing leveling kits, but not many people understand the entire deal behind them. Basically, a leveling kit works similarly to a body lift kit in both application and function. The difference however is that a body lift is meant to provide lift for a vehicle, allowing more room for larger tires, or simply offer a lifted look at a lower price and less installation work than a full suspension lift. A leveling kit serves the same purpose, but only for either the front or rear end of a vehicle primarily for the purpose of leveling out your vehicle's stance. A leveling kit is designed to balance a car out if there is uneven weight distribution. A leveling kit isn't necessary but they are helpful to get the maximum potential out of your car. Consider it an investment. If you be good to your car, then your car will be good to you.
Leveling kits offer alternative functions as well, they will add some extra inches for tire clearance, or improve rear end wheel travel. Additionally, leveling out your ride is simple and effective to operate, and also relatively easy to install. Leveling kits differ slightly from suspension and body lifts. You can't just put any leveling kit on your vehicle. You have to know your vehicle and which one is best for it. There are 3 types of kits that work for most vehicles. The type of kit you need is entirely vehicle specific. You should not confuse these with air leveling kits. Air based versions should never be considered as an alternative to complete truck leveling kits.
